My greatest teacher
I have had many teachers over the years. ⠀
Primary school, intermediate, secondary school teachers.⠀⠀
Music teachers, coaches, academic tutors.⠀⠀
University lecturers, senior practitioners and Judges. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
From them I have gained valuable skills, knowledge and learnings.⠀⠀
They have taught me things that have helped paved the way to become the person I am.
They have armed me with power, possibility and opportunity. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
I remember the good ones and the not so good ones. ⠀⠀
I remember the effective methods and the not so effective ones.⠀⠀
I remember the skills I wanted to carry through, and the ones I wanted to leave behind.⠀⠀
Nonetheless, they have all taught me things I will carry as I continue to walk this planet.⠀⠀
I will forever be grateful for them.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
However, some of my biggest learnings have not come from them. ⠀⠀
My biggest teacher hasn’t got a title, a degree or a salary. ⠀⠀
She doesn’t have experience, a variety of skills or knowledge just yet. ⠀⠀
But she is the one who has opened my mind and my world the most. ⠀
She is the one who has taught me the most about myself.⠀⠀
She is the one who challenges me the most to think differently.⠀⠀
She is the one who makes me want to be the best I can be, ⠀⠀
For myself, ⠀⠀
For her,⠀⠀
For our family.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀
Her teachings are invaluable, they are life changing and they are everlasting. ⠀⠀
They cannot be taught through the pages of books, through the audio of podcasts or through the screen of PowerPoints.⠀⠀
They need to be experienced with her, as she learns too. ⠀⠀
She is my greatest teacher. ⠀⠀
She is my child. ⠀
