Depths of love
I am not the hollow eyes. I am the nights holding my babies.
I am not the old crusty clothes. I am the price paid for meeting their needs first.
I am not the unwashed hair. I am the time put into others who can’t right now.
I am not the laundry piles. I am the choices made to be more present instead.
I am not the dishes in the sink. I am the full tummies in our home.
I am not the mad morning rush. I am the driver to each day.
I am not the forgotten date. I am every other thing I remember.
I am not the unopened emails. I am the open arms of love.
I am not the “sorry I can’t today”. I am the “of course I can” every minute.
I am not the vacant wife, friend or sister. I am the busy mother.
There’s so much more to me,
Than what’s on the surface.
I AM
the depths of love.
